We are proud to offer our latest chicken breed addition for other poultry enthusiasts to experience as well - the lovely Quamby! 🧡

The Quamby is a new heritage breed with exceptional egg-laying capacity (up to around 300 eggs a year), longevity, and dual-purpose use (they’re a truly meaty bird as well).

Created by retired biochemist Dr Gil Stokes in Tasmania through selective breeding over a period of seven years, Quamby have been developed from the foundations of English Sussex and New Hampshire. With excellent foraging ability, beautiful temperaments and hardy offspring, they’re a terrific breed to complement any backyard flock.

It’s not hard to see what the fast-growing popularity of this breed is all about, with our own breeding group an absolute pleasure to own. When you have some Quamby for yourself, you’ll understand exactly what all the excitement is about.
