Pure Plymouth Rock Fertile Eggs

Plymouth Rocks are the best allrounder dual purpose chicken. Prolific egg layer and as a meat bird. They aren't good fliers as they are a heavier chicken and do well in confined areas. Good with humans and their pets. Quite happy to be held and picked up.  We find our Plymouth Rocks will go broody once a year, they are quieter than our other noisier chickens even the roosters don't tend to crow as much. Our girls tend to lay 5 large sized eggs a week. The breed is very hardy in cold temperatures, we have plenty of frosty nights here, they still need plenty of shade in the summer like other chicken breeds. We just love their stripey feathers and think they are a great looking chook. Plymouth Rocks are an auto sex breed meaning you can tell males from females when they are newly hatched.
