What started out as a birthday present for my husband one year, turned out to be an addictive hobby and fascination in all the breeds of chickens. Who knew there were so many!
And then I discovered coloured eggs I just had to have some. But after weeks of searching I had difficulty finding any breeders near us that had blue or olive eggers (even chicks were impossible to find!)

so we purchased an incubator, brooder, more coops and fertile eggs off this site and a few others bits and bobs and we have had success! And decided that there might be other people near us that would like the experience and pleasure of collection coloured eggs from the nesting box :)

Pekinana - is our bantam project where we have crossed our white pekin rooster with our Lavender araucana hens. Which should result in a white to light blue egg layer!
