with long hair, an Akubra hat and always wearing a smile, a passion for chooks has given me a nickname by mates as Chooka.

I love my chooks, and enjoy breeding them, of course, I can't keep everything I hatch.

I breed...

Pure breed, pet quality Silkies. Will be focused on improving my stock to breed to show standards.

pure breed, pet quality Pekins. Will be focused on improving my stock to breed to show standards.

pure breed, pet quality Naked Necks. Will be focused on improving my stock to breed to show standards.

also offering cross breeds with Naked Necked and/or Frizzled genes, crosses include Dark Brahmah, Buff Sussex and Silkie x Araucana 2nd gen.

I'm honest and will never sell a cross breed where a pure breed is wanted.

when the breeding season starts my flock will be segregated into 4 groups.

cross breeds and purebreds without a rooster from their own breed will be put into a flock of their own with a Naked Neck Rooster, this flock is partially our pet stock where we have all our funny looking cross breeds and lonesome pures. pure breeds will be pulled out when we have enough of that particular breed to make a new flock. the idea of this flock is so I can keep some of the chooks that I love but still breed pure breeds at the same time.

2nd flock will be ONLY Silkies

3rd flock will be only Pekins

the 4th flock will come abit later when I get some better quality Naked Necks and will the start breeding pure breed naked necks.

Its hard to find good honest breeders, not impossible but it is hard. at Chook's, Chooks we will always sell with transparency. if you ask for a pure breed silkie you will get a pure breed silkie, if you ask for a Naked Neck cross breed, you will get a naked neck cross breed.
