Cloudy Forest Farm, my beautiful forest property in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne, is continuing to sell quality hatching eggs in 2025.

Hatching eggs will be available between August and Christmas, with regular fertility testing happening here during that time.
Fertile eggs can be collected from the property or postage is available Australia wide via Auspost. I use an Eggspress package plus extra packaging and post in an Auspost box. This means postage is expensive, but hatch-rates are hopefully good.
All my fertile eggs are $50 a dozen plus postage of $40 for one dozen or $60 for two dozen eggs.
Please feel free to order a mixed dozen for the same price.
I will have some chicks available during the hatching season.
In 2025 my breeds are:
Lavendar Araucana
Cuckoo Araucana
Italian Ancona Black
Rhode Island Red
Olive Eggers (mixed Marans and Araucana)
I cannot guarantee hatch rates. Postage can be rough, and I don't know what incubator you are using.
We ordered 2 dozen Araucana fertile eggs from Amy. We agreed on a preferred week in which to send them from Victoria to Tasmania.
The eggs were professionally and lovingly packed in Eggspress Safe polystyrene cartons. Each egg was individually wrapped in tissues and each hole in the Eggpress Safe carton was further packed with tissues. Instead of sending the eggs in a post bag, Amy sent them in a box filled with packing material to provide the best chances of hatching the eggs.
The eggs were posted from Victoria on a Monday and arrived on Wednesday that week and we were able to get them into the incubator immediately.
Fertility was very high: at least 22 of the eggs were viable on candeling and only 2 were questionable. This was our first time incubating eggs, so we did not manage to hatch as many as appeared viable. We put that down to our inexperience and probably where we had the incubator was not the best place (we struggled to keep the temperature consistent and the humidity high during the last few days before hatching).
Amy was amazingly helpful throughout the whole process and was always happy to answer questions or give us some advice by email throughout the experience.
We would unquestionably highly recommend Amy and Cloudy Forest Farm. I do not think that Amy could have done better!
