Our Breeds / Fertile Egg List (UPDATED 21/05/2023)

At the end of each week Fertile eggs for following Monday or Tuesday Post will be advertised on our FB page and available for sale on our Website.

Blue Partridge Brahma - 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ per dozen 

They are majestic breed and stately in appearance and movement. Known as the ‘King of All Poultry’, largest breed of chicken you can get in Australia. Despite the Brahmas signature eagle angry glare they are gentle and friendly not minding a cuddle or being carted around making great pets for families, beginners. Avgen Brahma line from well respected breeders. Dual purpose breed, decent layers of large cream eggs. Chicks will be blue, gold, splash Partridge in colour.

Buff Sussex - 5️⃣5️⃣ per dozen 

Our best layers averaging about 250 eggs annually. Uncommon colour with a friendly and confident temperament. Hand raised Sussex are very loveable and fun, will follow you around like a puppy.

Lavender Sussex - 6️⃣5️⃣ per dozen 

Like all Sussex they are an amazing layer and good meat chicken. They have the added bonus of having an unusual and stunning lavender colouring. The roosters are particularly beautiful having almost metallic, silvery tones amongst the lavender that photos just can’t do justice. The hens are very friendly and make amazing mothers.

Buff Cochin - 1️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ per dozen 

Our Buff Cochins are carefully selected from import (Avgen) bloodlines. Stunning, large birds with very soft feathers from head to toe. Calm, friendly temperament and are extremely fluffy like a teddy bear in the form of a chicken. Happy to be handled especially if you have food! Decent layers of medium sized eggs.

Splash & Blue Barnevelder  - 💲7️⃣0️⃣ per dozen

The Barnevelders are stunning dual purpose breed bred for both utility and show in mind. They are prolific layers of beautiful dark, golden brown eggs and their gorgeous lacing patterns are very similar to the Wyandotte chicken breed. They are a hardy breed, good foragers with a quiet disposition.

Silver Appleyard Bantam Ducks - 6️⃣5️⃣ per dozen NOT AVAILABLE

Stunning little ducks about the size of a Mallard. Great layers of large blue and white eggs that are surprisingly large compared to the size of the duck. They are friendly and lively, happy to be hand fed. Great forages so many people use them in the garden or orchard to keep down the bugs. Unlike some breeds of duck they will nest and hatch their own ducklings.

Mixed Colour Guinea Fowl - 6️⃣5️⃣ per dozen NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL NOVEMBER 2023

Mixed coloured flock selected over the years for rare colours and beautiful patterns such as highly pied birds and pinto. Guinea fowl are wilder then chickens but they are great for acreage to keep down insects such as ticks, grasshoppers, slugs etc even drive off snakes and hawks. Colours are Pearl Pied, Lavender Pied, Cinnamon, Ivory, Silver, Peach, Chocolate and Periwinkle.

We are located in FNQ near Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands.

Only eggs we are confident have high fertility rates are sent out. Our birds are happy, healthy given high quality feed and free ranged on alternate days. All care is taken in giving fresh, well packaged eggs but once they have left my sight I cannot take responsibility for the way the AusPost handles them.

Postage is available for additional $30 for 1 dozen $35 for 2 at buyers risk. Express postage in eggspress safe carton.
